Lymph Nodes in Hidradenitis Suppurativa
In my experience with HS, flareups can often result in scar tissue. The most often found areas where people develop HS also have Lymph Nodes. HS scar tissue can often interfere with Lymph Nodes. What are Lymph Nodes? Lymph Nodes are part of the immune system that functions as a passageway for waste and/or toxics in the body, traveling through Lymphatic Fluid as part of the Lymphatic System. Lymph Nodes also possess immune cells called Lymphocytes that fights to destroy bacteria. Therefore, Lymph Nodes has an important role in monitoring and cleansing the body. HS scar tissue can directly impact the Lymph Nodes ability to function its full capacity in the area. And I am not sure how it can be prevented. Always discuss your symptoms with your medical professional and/or dermatologist. The process will support you and your body.
*Lymphatic Fluid is a clear substance that travels through the lymphatic system.
*Lymphocytes are white blood cells in the immune system.
*Lymphatic system are tissues and organs that produce, store, and carry white blood cells that fight infections and other diseases. Also, a network of vessels that lymph drains from the tissues in the blood.
