Resilience Building

Resilience for me, feels like taking the bad with the good. A process of handling stress and recovering from the adversity. In life, there will be stress. Some that we create, and others are imposed upon us. As a HS patient, I use to feel like I had no control over my body flareups, during stressful moments. As I observed my body HS reactions, I discovered that stress was a trigger for me. And during those moments of triggers, I choose to manage the stress levels in my life. We cannot stop stress, but we can control how we allow it to affect our bodies.

HS flareups can often feel like a setback, depending on how you choose to treat and/or calm the inflammation. There will be setbacks. But these setbacks can be turned around and used to build resilience in your life.
